Margot Pattison is a keen gardener. In 2002 she designed and planted this traditional knot garden at her home in Oxfordshire.

It's well-established now (June 2007) as you can see from the pic on the right, although the hot, dry summer of 2006 caused some anxiety.

The next part of the plan is to plant lavender in the outer sections (bottom).

And this is how it looks in July 2008,with the lavender beds already well-established.The garden is often admired by passers-by,who often stop in the lane outside to admire it and sometimes have a chat with Rosie, our very friendly Airedale Terrier.
